Oman Protests Are Small And Peaceful - Sultan Is Revered For His Good Work

Good morning to you all, with all the coverage of protests in the Middle East, prudence dictates getting a firm understanding of what is happening in Oman.

As such, I conducted a Google News search for articles about Oman over the past week and was happy to see that Oman "protests" have been small and peaceful. Much of this can be attributed to the following statement:

"Like Bahrain, also in the Arabian Gulf, the Sultanate of Oman is a monarchy, but its ruler, Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said, is generally revered here.... Sultan Qaboos came to power, building schools, encouraging trade, and developing the economy."
