Oman has unveiled new plans to expand its two major airports — Seeb in the capital and Salalah in the Dhofar governorate — at a total cost of over $3 billion, and construct three new airports, two of them exclusively to cater for the increasing number of tourists visiting the country, according to a key official.Civil Aviation Under-Secretary Mohammed bin Sakhar Al Amri said the annual passenger handling capacity at the Seeb International Airport would increase to 12 million after the first phase of expansion.
