"The analogy is not perfect since both companies have very different share structures."

Share structure has nothing to do with it. Financially speaking, there is no comparison. For now, the only comparisons are geography and the types of rocks encountered.

Why is there no financial comparison for investors?

Aztec is an advanced-stage explorer with projects in multiple locations. LBSR is a very early-stage explorer with essentially one project, though it has two parts.

Aztec's capitalized value—the gross worth of all outstanding shares—is 13.4 million dollars. That "compares" to LBSR at 8.2 million. *

"Fair market value" in exploration-phase miners (if there is such a thing) has an emotional component that is larger between stocks like these than in other market segments. Shareholder sentiment and promotion are among the contributory factors.

In other words, share prices are not reasonable measures of comparative value. Look at capitalized values for that.

* Aztec's capitalized value also suffers because its Mexican holdings are at risk of being taken over by the government. The president-elect, a Socialist, has commented about wanting to take over mining. I don't think that will happen, but it is hurting the prices of mining shares there for now.
