It was important information when it was published in September 2020, when metallurgical labs worldwide were closing or scaling back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But are those circumstances relevant now?
If not, what in your understanding are the circumstances now affecting turnaround times? I made one inquiry late last week of a busy explorer in central Arizona and will post if and when I hear back from them.
I also want to point out that the author of that bit you linked is Canadian. She is considering samples sent to the lab from remote locations across North America and possibly elsewhere, where turnaround time typically includes days to weeks of shipping time. In our case, shipping can only take 2 to 3 hours.
