Such stories do not occur in isolation. They suggest ice is forming on the pond's edges and that it may soon be iced over, despite games being played to sustain illusions about our economic health.
It means we are on the threshold of recession or worse. It also means higher prices for precious metals, with base metals soon following. It's good news for miners!
