The Dow is up around 1,600 points in five days. This is misplaced enthusiasm, in my opinion, caused by the Fed looking to be closer to lowering rates, especially after this morning's new jobs reports suggesting job growth is cooling. Well, lower rates sound good, but not at the expense of recession, which will bring down incomes for a broad swath of businesses.
Soft landing? Maybe. Either way, technical analysis, and fundamentals look favorable for metals in the near term.
