I'm inclined to agree.  I've wondered to myself if perhaps a viable plan is more or less in place such that some party or parties are taking the opportunity to accumulate on the predictable (engineered/allowed?) year-end weakness and dumping.  IOW, why hurry up with a significant announcement when there are another 4 weeks of bargains to be had?
