The House-proposed tax on mining is drawing opposition in the Senate.  If the House version passes through the Senate as written, it would be devastating for the sector while limiting supplies and driving up metals prices to benefit foreign holders of such assets.

I suggest US citizens write to their senators and ask them to oppose tax/royalty changes for mining activities on federal lands.
