What is the value of a news release that is not sent out by typical wire services? Might that imply that the "news" is being hidden for some reason?

What is the value of a North American mining-related news release that appears on Canada Day when many investors will not be paying attention to the market until Tuesday following the long 4th or July weekend in the US? Is the story being hidden for some reason?

I suppose the simplest answer is probably the closest to the truth. That would be ignorance of the importance of Canadian markets and mainstream wire services.
