There are interesting arguments against the proposed Rosemont mine near Tombstone.  If the opponents win and the decision is upheld by the Supreme Court, this will have very serious complications for all miners and mining claim holders using federal lands.

Will this have a chilling effect on US miners?  Maybe, or perhaps not at all in the short run, though progress at Rosemont will continue to be stalled at least through to the time this reaches the Supreme Court.
