Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
Agreed. And you cant even get an accurate report from a reliable source. The Chinese govt will deny anything that would even hint at imperfection. But there seems to be enough info leaking out to substantiate some of the rumors. It is said the area wasnt prone to earthquakes yet since the dam has been built earthquakes have been occuring. The sentiment seems to be the pressure of the water is impacting geological foundations, Im no geologist but that sounds reasonable to me. The monsoon season for that part of China lasts until late August, early September from what Ive read. So, shoddy construction with inferior materials on a dam over 2 clicks across in the midst of monsoon season in an area suddenly prone to small earthquakes is a scary scenario. But there it is. It would be tragic, especially if the Chinese govt is not evacuating the entire path of the Yangtze River (which is already flooded even with the dam supposedly put in place to prevent flooding- and of course to supply power) just for reason of pride and/or propaganda. One thing is certain though if it were to happen, it would have an impact on world economy. There is no way, in my opinion, that it couldnt. Imagine if every person in America was suddenly displaced and had to rebuild because of a flood. The area threatened is populated by 400M, more than the population of America. It seems every facet of economy could be impacted from farming, medical/medical supplies, building materials, shipping, etc. Again, I dont want anyone to experience such a catastrophy, there are real people trying to live real lives possibly (I think likely) being lied to by their govt. It kind of all relates, people swoop into power with promises, deception, blindsides, etc just to satisfy their need for greed, power, and control. If it can be done with the most populus country in the world it can certainly be done with smaller entities, like maybe an exploration company? Our time may be running out. If the POTUS were somehow not relected, and LBSR had no deal was in place by Nov, I think the fork would have to be picked up. I just couldnt see the company making it through, atleast, the next four years. Someone needs to get busy and take care of the shareholders, unless their plan was, somehow, all along only for themselves
