I am reminded of a mining stock story in the 90's which became the basis for a movie some years later.  Look for "Gold" on Amazon Prime, or google "Bre-X". 

Now, I don't see fraudulent promotion here as in the Brex-X story - I am still a believer in what Hay Mountain promises -, but how the takeover came about and how it has been sustained (so far) just might be of interest among movie producers should things now off screen unfold as I would intend.
