I agree with the first part of your statement.  Jay, however, is a "field technician".  He is talented in many regards - I've met him a few times - but he is not qualified to do more than drive visitors to the drilling site and saying, "Here it is", and, "Here is where I collected samples under supervision". 

Qualified explorationists visiting the site would need someone to show them the property while being able to describe, in technical terms, the sub-surface geology.  Jay does not have that kind of background.  The same goes for anyone currently on the BOD.
