Thanks for that, jlm.  It was interesting to read a take looking at other segments of the metals market.  For the time being, however, I think it a bit early to be looking at worst-case scenarios, thought the story IS worth watching.

China is seeming to get control of the situation as the numbers of new cases are falling quickly.  This is not to say that the worst is over, but that the rate of spread is slowing.  And, the seasonal variables which contribute to the spread of such viruses will soon be ending.  We can only hope that as winter gives way to spring this thing will end, or at lease die away until next season.
