O.k., that works too. I see similarities between these maps, though the local assessor's office will be more current. For that reason, I prefer to use assessor's info where I can. Besides, so much more detail is available on private ownerships - parcel size, owner's names, mailing addresses, tax information, etc. Usually, too, finding the parcel number can lead to finding other information such as the sales history on a parcel, historical tax payments or foreclosures, and sometimes even the zoning information. It all depends on the county.
