Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
I didn't mind not being too involved when JB was running the company. I don't remember but one shareholder meeting in the nine years I have been a shareholder, and I didn't make that one because American Airlines screwed up my travel. Other than that, I don't remember being asked to vote on anything. But I wasn't that concerned.
We shareholders really aren't in any worse shape financially at the moment than we were all the years JB was in charge. And assuming BG's latest blurb is factual, it appears current management has progressed farther than we have gone before in securing a partner.
But there's the rub. In the back of my mind, whenever JB gave us information, I was always pretty confident he was shooting straight with us; I didn't doubt him, and I felt like he really was dedicated to making LBSR succeed. Whether or not he went about it the best way will always be open to discussion.
With the current management group, I sense a feeling of casualness; maybe indifference. I have to assume their lives are pretty much set financially. From what I have gathered, the recent additions are retired and were brought in because they have certain expertise, but their worlds will not change much whether LBSR succeeds or fails. They certainly don't spend all their time, as JB did, looking for ways to help LBSR flourish.
I really don't think BG would tell us things that were not true, but if that turned out to be the case, I would not be overly surprised. To give a political example, I never really believed the 'birther' theory about Obama. But if it had turned out to be true, I would not have been surprised. That is just how those people operate.
If the board members read this Board, they certainly know how frustrated some of us are with them. There are others who post here who have no problem with them. When JB was in running the show, there were some frustrated with him.
Personally, however, I think time has run out. I don't see anything happening with LBSR before the world's economy goes in the tank. Don't really know if that is any particular person's, or group of persons', fault. Not gonna sell my shares, because miracles do happen. But it is pretty rare.
