It means his experience and expertise is not preponderantly related to discovery, exploration or mining operations.  It is heavily skewed to valuation.  Why would valuation be important at this point in time (if it is, to 'the plan')?  How do you value an undrilled prospect?  I don't think you can, meaningfully, unless people are giving up orthodoxy and may put faith in the reprocessed ZTEM

I may be reading too much into the addition of this resume / skillset to the board?  Perhaps.
