Right.  There is a large gray area surrounding what constitutes insider information.  Besides, the sharing of such does not always lead to increasing or decreasing volumes/prices.  In mining, I've seen cases where drilling plans were known, where the company had the money for it,  and insiders had were told drilling had begun hours before the public announcement.  That made no difference in the opening share price as the company had other projects going as well.  My point is, each situation is different.

As to volume (again), what I am about to share is more applicable to thinly trading stocks like LBSR as opposed to, say, widely held Blue Chips.  That is, what we have witnessed with LBSR's volumes may have little to do with any significant change in the numbers of market participants.  In other words, the numbers of people buying and selling shares can be relatively consistent despite apparent changes in volumes.  Check daily trade numbers where such is available if you want to track this.
