I genuinely want to know why you and VP think this selling is other than financiers. Their whole reson for beng is to sell shares and make money. And unlike any shareholder trying to bring the price down, they are pretty much guaranteed to sell higher than they buy. I cannot prove this one other thing that I perceived, but it seems to happen: an ask with a low price will result in a trade if the number of shares is larger. I see a lot of trades where a million or more shares are traded at the lowest ask. Is it possible that the financier's transactions are determined by computer algorithms, and the computer is more likely to sell at a lower price if the number of shares is larger. If such a transaction is a financier, that company still makes money while dumping a bunch of shares when the opportunity presents itself.
