Yes, thanks, a new multi-year high for copper.  Gold and zinc are up too.

I also agree with your other observations, though I do seriously question this.  "A Big Gorrila Mining companiy for pennies could easily gobble up LBSR.....especially if copper continues march towards $4."

Firstly, anyone who attempts to take a substantial interest - something more than 5 percent, I think - has to make a public declaration of their intentions.  That will certainly make the attempts to buy more stock a lot more expensive, would it not?

Then, I've forgotten whether or not LBSR has a plan in place against a hostile takeover, but I think they do.  In any event, BOD can work against the effort, or do things in an attempt to drive the price even higher.

Otherwise, if such a prospective buyer goes to the company with a buyout offer, the BOD is free to reject it, if it does not come close to being "reasonable".  If it is arguably "reasonable", BOD must allow shareholders to vote on the deal.  At this stage, I don't see a chance in hell for that to have a positive outcome, especially if BOD recommends a "no" vote.

Now, was not the Hay Mountain project spun off as a wholy owed subsidiary company?  I ask because if LBSR BOD want to discuss any deals with anyone, the whole of the company does not have to be involved, leaving other prospects/projects to shareholders.  My point being, a "Big Gorilla" mining company is less likely to be interested in undrilled property than a proven discovery.

Discovery first, I would think, then anything is possible.
