Message: Drilling - Private Placement

All we have to do is get that drill and driller working on the site and the remainder of the PP is suddenly going to look a lot more interesting. It's like a sled stuck on ice needing a brisk push to get going, after which it will accelerate more easily.

There is not much value in posts intended to make it more difficult for the placement to succeed. There's reason to think that Briscoe may be right, and it will be interesting and maybe worthwhile to give him a chance to succeed.

One of my relatives, long ago, told the top people at Standard Oil that there would be no oil found in East Texas. He was a smart man, right off the farm and then raised in the oil business in Titusville, Pennsylvania, from its earliest days. He knew Pennsylvania oil. But he didn't know Texas. A lot of investors were happy they did not follow his wise advice and decline to invest, because soon after he warned everyone, Spindletop happened. East Texas was never the same after that. By the way, Standard took his advice and missed one of the great oil discoveries of all time.

There are some smart people on the other board advising that there will be no mineral of consequence found at Hay Mountain. And there are some bold investors out there, a few of them on the boards, who think it's worth a shot. Maybe we have a Spindletoop, or something lesser but worthwhile. I'd like to see Briscoe and team have a chance to find out. They have worked hard and long to get to this point.
