Risk aversion dominates mining these days like we've not seen since the early in the Great Depression. Most all of what we know about LBSR targets is defined by remote sensing, meaning rock hard evidence of mineralization in ecominic grades is lacking, unlike in some other exploration projects.
If our targets were shallow, and the need for drilling could be supported with positive results from, say, trenching, that would be another matter. As it is, and in this financial environment, a lot of potential investors look at this much as rolling dice.
It was hard enough to find investors for the Alaska drilling, remember? Now things are even worse. However, I believe success begets success, and any progress toward drilling will build on itself.
Given time, I feel we will not moan, eh? [Canadian humor/humour.]
