I guess this is off topic if we are not talking REEs and LBSR, but one long-term factor in the whole equation that I mentioned before is the real cost of pollution. One book about China and one blogger (something like "Chinamoney.com") both noted pollution in China from REE mining is a major problem. The blogger put it as problem #1 in China, above corruption, which is also huge. The book mentionec cancer villages where many Chinese are dying and/or having to move out of areas where mining is taking place. Remediation will probably cost billions over time. It'd be nice if LBSR could eventually mine REEs, but in the responsible way that JB often alludes to in general. For now, though I would be happy with copper, gold, moly.
