From Mr. Vegetable,
"If they reverse split the stock, those of us who have believed in the company and carefully built a position will probably wish we'd never heard of this company."
O.k., let's revisit what a reverse split is all about. The common belief is that investors shun low priced stocks, so for a stock to be active in the market share prices should be above a certain level. This is largely a misconception held/pushed by securities dealers who would often underwrite such offerings.
Since the Financial Crisis and the departure of securities dealers from the market, such financing programs have become rare, so have the financier demands for reverse splits.
I'm not saying it can't or won't happen to LBSR, but I think the likelihood is quite low.
Besides, and in my opinion, a reverse split does not autmatically mean the share price will fall afterwards. It depends on how the money is to be spent, and what news may or may not surround the issue.
I have no doubt that this company will at some point ask shareholders to approve extending the number of shares authorized for sale. Hopefully that will come about during better times, and the proceeds can go towards development projects in which they will hold 100 percent interest.
