How odd it is that someone can post something on a message board and it can become a commonly accepted rule of thumb without much basis in fact, largely just one persons one-time speculation that sounded good at time.

Speaking of facts, here they are.

From the first of last year, take a look at the numbers of press releases and the day's of the week on which they appeared.

7 appeared on Monday's;

8 on Tuesday's;

6 Wednesday's;

3 Thursday's;

1 Friday.

So, yes, the odds are very slighly higher for a press release on a Tuesday, but very much higher for any other day of the week, by 68 percent.

Note that there were 8 releases on Tuesday's & 17 on non Tuesday's. If anything can be accepted from this it's that odds are long for PR's on Friday, and fairly low too for Thursday's. Take Thursday's and Friday's out of the picture, the odds for news on a Monday or Wednesday alone are 62+ percent higher than on a Tuesday.

Geez, I can't believe I wasted any time at all in trying to address disported perceptions arising from the kind of crap that appears on that other board.

In summary, news will happen when it happens despite on what day of the week it might occur.

...the company does seem kind'a quite, though, since the return from Manila. ...maybe something more brewing than I would expect.
