Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
No, thank you. I appreciate your participation here, and your questions, as I am sure they are in the minds of many others. Besides, I appreciate the company and respectful discourse on this board.
Of course, I can't have all the answers, but am free to be more openly speculative than can the company in reply to direct questions - not that I am attempting to speak for LBSR, but I think I can speak from the point of a somewhat educated investor.
As to REEs, and from what I've learned of the trend in the area, this is no surprise. Firstly, REEs are everywhere, but interesting concentrations have been found near SE Arizona in New Mexico and in geological formationations similar to Hay Mountain. They've also been found inside of old mines at nearby Bisbee, and in Bisbee area mine waste.* Surface sampling at Hay Mountain also suggests interesting concentrations, as does ZTEM which was flown well after the REE "footprint" was outlined from surficial geochemical analysis.
*Old mine tours were curtailed in Bisbee for a while when unhealful levels of radon gas were found. Tour guides are now severely limited in the number of hours they can work underground in a week. Radon comes from the natual decomposition of radioactive materials, hence the discovery that Bisbee could become active again for mining and/or processing of ore for REEs pending results of many studies now in process.
