Mining stocks (producers) are moving strongly higher this morning, but explorers are not sharing the cheer. IMO, this is actually good news.

Firstly, look at how junior miners (GDXJ) are improving on this chart.

Recall that general upturns in explorations stocks do not begin until investors start to feel there are few bargains left among producers - majors, then juniors. That means that explorers will seem ignored for a time as metals markets improve. If the trend is sustained, and who knows how long that will take, then some spark will set off the market for explorers like a dust explosion in a grain elevator.
