CLARIFICATION -

"...$10,000/tonne copper..." refers to metric weight in which one TONNE equates to about 2,240 pounds, aka a long ton. In US weight one TON is 2,000 pounds, aka a short ton.

Therefore $10,000 per tonne equates to about $8,928 per ton, or about $4.464 per pound (around 50 percent higher ).
