Thanks for posting. Interesting that this news is from Sacramento. While it's early history was founded on mining, they are today not so friendly to it. For that matter, the whole of California is pretty much against mining, except for some remote parts of the Mojave desert.

The question I would have about this modern day REEs Rush is, will it be less expensive to mine REEs concurrently with other products (as we may have at Hay Mountain), or would it make more sense to re processes old mine waste while doing additional exploration work at old diggings, as may be the case at Bisbee, if one had to make a choice between the two? I would think the former because getting something more from a going conern should be much less costly than starting from scratch.

If I am correct, and assuming Hay Mountain has economic grades of REEs similar to those that may be found a Bisbee, then Hay Mountain should be more valuable per ton of ore, but we are a long way from finding out.
