Newmont would be a great partner. They are highly respected and well managed. However, their focus is on gold or copper-gold projects - not prospects, but projects.

Though it may be rich in gold and copper, Hay Mountain is more a complex polymetallic prospect also including moly, silver, lead, zinc, etc., plus maybe REEs too . This tells me that Hay Mountain may not quite fit Newmont's investment parameters, but who knows what can happen once offers start coming in. And, yes, a bidding war would be nice, but I think it way too early to be thinking of these things - drilling first.
