So if they succeed in the IPO and Paradise is worth A$85mm, then LGDI's stake will be worth $50mm, vs. current market cap of only $20mm. This would be financial alchemy, but the infusion of new capital would certainly add value to LGDI and give it a new lease on life. It all gets down to whether the IPO is successful. Also, even though Soros dumped his shares, David Slager bought them and is now the largest shareholder. Slager has a history of shareholder activism and presumably he will work to maximize the potential of his investment.
