A question for my fellow long term investors

A question - to satisfy nothing but my curiousity
How much of an affect, if any, do you think the short sellers / bashers on the Yahoo Message board have on the daily stock price?
Posters going under alias's such as Snapped and tonka ... have been disparaging the company on a daily basis. They clearly have a self interest at heart which is either a short position or vendetta against the Gutnicks. I could care less what their motivation is, but I am curious if all of these unfounded negative accusations are really at the core of the slowly sliding stock price, or not?
In the long run the stock will grow on the merit of the actual business that is being conducted:
Are the unfounded rants of short sellers & bashers of a BB stock like LGDI really able to drive the daily stock prices downward?
I am interested in your opinions on this, and if we collectively believe that they are manipulating the stock price through their unfounded rants, should we speak out on their boards to counter their affect?
The main benefit for us as long term share holders in maintaining the stock price in the near term is to see LGDI move from the BB to the ASX and Amex. The stock price needs to hit and maintain a $2.00 minimum for a move to the Amex to take affect.
