Just came across this from a few days ago....Cameco, a Canadian uranium producer, is investing $16.6M to look into production of uranium from Phosphate waste in Australia with potential plans to It might be building facilities in Australia:
"In the meantime, Uranium Utilities plans to carry out test work at the operations of two unnamed fertiliser producers and is in advanced negotiations with two others. In the meantime, Uranium Utilities plans to carry out test work at the operations of two unnamed fertiliser producers and is in advanced negotiations with two others."
So four unnamed fertilizer producers are involved. Uranium Utilities is based in Australia and looks like Cameco announced 3 uranium exploration projects in Australia earlier this year. With recent publicity about Legend becoming second Australian phosphate producer, I wonder if Legend is involved. It would provide additional revenue...and from production waste.
