I wonder if it has anything to do with Yacknl's post in September:

Possibly the fear of a class action may have FG keep some of the old commons. As the civil case is still a fear, which lays the grounds for a class action, that thought may help.

What if the new owners are buying up all the old shares to reduce the amount of people who would be involved in a class action law suit? Wonder how we can find out just who is buying.
