In theory, the area where ENG is drilling Kunene #1 sits within the same geological formation as that which holds the recently discovered Tupi field 300km offshore Brasil, where Petrobas estimates between 5-8 Billion barrels of oil. The regulation stipulating this drilling project as a "Tight Hole" could therefore (IMO) be due to earlier indications in the drill bit that Kunene may be equally as big or even bigger than the Tupi discovery and the Namibian Gov't does not want to let this info out yet. Any thoughts?
