Dominican Republic: On June 26, 2013 Wialan established and registered a 50/50 joint
venture in the Dominican Republic with locally based partners called Wialan
Technologies Dominicana. In association with Hughes Network Satellite Delivery
Systems, Wialan plans to deliver wireless internet, together with its public announcement
and video surveillance systems, to initially 300 schools – growing to approximately 2,600
of the 6,000 total schools in the Dominican Republic which do not presently have these
types of facilities.''
