Deep - are you suggesting that there is a possibility that we will be through the gate by the end of January? And I put that out there knowing that the dot letter exists, but ignoring its impact.... But seriously, what is the likelihood that the FAA feels any pressure, except that tey want the airline to succeed, and by not getting it done in 26 days, inhibits their ability to assume work for this airline... Do you think that they are aware of the dot letter, however, work in spite of it. We have read where the Detroit office is being perceived as friend, ire to Baltia, although we have little way of knowing. This would be a good time to prove it...lol
You are absolutely correct. "Fast track" can only mean that they are methodical, and do not use the maximum times to respond to submissions, etc. - they must, and will, do their job, which is to ensure compliance with regulations/statutes.
Ditto on the DOT letter - and it will not be that difficult for Baltia to answer near the end of its required response time, which certainly should reaffirm Baltia's standing with them, provided Baltia is making good progress with certification. We have every reason to believe that Baltia will do just that.

Possibility, yes. Politically, within the FAA, it would seem that the Willowrun office could have a lot to gain by being the first office to certify a new part 121 scheduled airline since 2007. I can already see the line at their door of other prospective new airlines wanting Willowrun to do their certification. Could give Willowrun a strong argument for a greater allocation of FAA resources. So it seems that Willowrun has strong motivation to move fast on this - a great opportunity to beat out the sluggish NY office for new clients.
