You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
IMO they will continue to run this up, to further distribute the stock, and then you might see some retrenchment. But until then, why not ride the wave?
And, as you say, they are driving this with news of company developments.
