DRVEN..I had bi-lateral knee replacements( that's both at the same time for the uninitiated) over three years ago. The surgery went well and so did the rehab. The problem occurred 3 months after the surgery.....a Staph infection in one of the knees. It was ugly. I hope you don't have to go through that.

Good luck in your rehab. It'll sure get your attention. :>):>):>) You'll want to punch one of those little rehab girls when she sits on your knee in order to straighten your leg. Hell...a 5 lb.bag of sugar would hurt. With a little cussin' and spittin' you'll survive. :>)

Now for Joe. I know what you're going through and I wish you a speedy recovery...regardless of the disparity in our political beliefs. :>):>) I had a triple 5 years ago plus a replacement of my aortic valve. Somewhere, in the great ether, lies the spirit of a cow who gave her life in order to save mine. My valve is biological...specifically "bovine". I was on a heart/lung machine for almost 2 hours. So far, they can't replace that valve without stopping the heart. Who knows, they might have come up with something different since then.

Joe...I know some surgeons do bypass while the heart is still beating....slowing the heart and working between beats. Was yours done that way?

But enough about me. :>) When you respond to this, I'll know you're feeling better and, yes, I'll rejoice, knowing my brother in surgery has pulled through. :>):>)
