I count 22 HL's, we have had as many as 26 I think, 1 listed closed his account, asked admin to remove his name, they did not so he asked me to take care of it, I tried 3 or 4 times in a year but it's still there, another has not posted in a very long time, others are "on break" awaiting something significant to discuss, which is perfectly understandable, and there are many who also do not participate in the violation processing "feature" of this board, which leaves a handful who do this function.

I have on several occasions reported and processed too, but only if it is so obvious that I do not need a 2nd opinion. More often than not, I PM 2 or 3 of the more "active" HL's who participate in the violation system, and ask if they also feel the post needs to be tossed and user warned. What may cross my line does not for another, and visa versa.

For mail room/treas, I prefer just removing the post...the red X. For VP/Pres/HL regardless of "rank" only Agora can remove the post, so reporting it is the only way, and they may disagree and leave it there, red flag or not. Then for OT on the main board, only Agora can move them over here.

Personally, OT posts regardless of the subject matter on the main board does not bother me. It only takes a quick glance to determine if it's worth reading from my perspective, then I click next if not, and for that matter, I may not read an on topic post if it is too lengthy...TO EACH HIS OWN.

While we are discussing this, a post to me should be faceless when it comes to a violation, but that is not always possible, as anyone can have a bad day, get riled up and cross that line. When I see this here or at other boards where I'm a HL (4) it's not uncommon for me to PM/email the person asking they lighten it up a bit or I will be forced to remove the post or even flag/process. You know who you are....LOL.

Personally, I don't care if a HL participates in post removals, the violation system or not, but; don't criticize the small handful that do. If we who choose to do this function did nothing, we'd have a free for all and this hub would self destruct.

Tolerance is the issue to me, and we all have different levels, so that's just the way it is.

Personally, when I see Agoracom remove themselves as a HL here, I'll know we are running smooth again. They should not be here to baby sit adults, providing we act like one.
