I worked at it again and it worked the way I mentioned. I think you tried 4 times with only one number each time and you're right. You'll get 4 different answers. If you calculate all the possible combinations and list the numbers, I think you'll find there aren't that many combinations and all the possible combinations will have the same answer. They throw in all the other numbers that can't be gotten to throw you off. Granted, these combinations will have a different answer each time, but they'll all be the same. I'm having a hard time explaining this but it works. Let me know if I've confused you enough or if you'd like me to try again. We can't go out today because of the ice on the roads so I have time!
