I spent 1955 there. In Iceland....not in the volcano...I'm not that stupid.
This is where I called home that year....a DEW line compound we called Rockville. The terrain looked like Hell after the flames were extinguished.....lava ash and boulders born eons ago.

I'm not in this one, either. Sorry, I can't show my face. I'm sworn to secrecy about the vacuum tubes we used on the RADAR equipment and I don't want to be water boarded by a foreign power. If I talked, it could change the balance of power in the world.
