Incidentally, consider this. If you snapped you fingers and suddenly all cars, trucks, etc were run by either electrical power(battery) or compressed air(generated by electricity), it would require a massive increase in the generation of electrical power over existing levels. That would require a significant increase of the fuel required to produce it. Solar and wind are currently insignificant sources of electricity and petroleum is less than 2 %. That leaves coal, natural gas and nuclear as the primary sources. Looks to me like we'll either be burning more fossil fuel or risk glowing the dark for the foreseeable future.

Last time I looked, the Law of the Conservation of Energy hasn't been repealed. You don't get something for nothing. :>):>)
