"Pawlenty, for instance, caused a stir among insiders recently with a series of bobbles. In one case, the Minnesota governor seemed to suggest that moderate Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, who sided with Democrats on Obama's health care reform in a Senate Finance Committee vote, shouldn't be part of the Republican Party......."
I agree....she shouldn't be. I can say that for publication....he can't. :>) He's what I like to term as "vegetable lasagna"....boring.
I'm not impressed with anyone on that list except Newt and you know my thoughts on him.
Maybe Huck....but his TV career might be a liability....... Lots of air time there for Libs to attack.
Palin's got the star power but she's lacking in "gravitas". She'll have to do a lot of "wood sheddin", (that means studying/practicing for you non jazz types), pick up some speaking engagements in foreign countries and produce successful TV appearances to gain believability as a serious contender.....while keeping a safe distance from Katie. :>) If I were her, I'd use Fox as a constant sounding board. The Fox interviewers will ask the hard questions, as they should, but they won't sandbag her like the Networks did. It appears she's starting with an appearance on Fox next week. Who knows, maybe one of the Networks will break from the wolf pack and give her an honest hearing.
She needs the money but a "tell all" prior to a run for the presidency might not be a good idea. Who knows? We don't know what her book contains yet, but it might have been designed with a presidential run in mind.
It's a long time before 2012. Anything can happen. The economy's bound to improve. O will take the credit...his numbers will rise and he could be reelected. Talk about mixed emotions. :>). Our only hope is that he has a combative Congress. He's bad enough now but can you imagine what he might try to do as a lame duck.....nothing to lose?
What do you think of O's (no it wasn't Holder's) decision to try the 911 scum in a civil court? It's purely political of course. We'll hear more about Bush, Cheney and water boarding than we will about the defendants. The "Lame Stream Press" will have a field day. They'll concentrate more on "torture" than 911. Can you imagine the covert activities that will be made public? O's taking a big gamble here. If there are covers blown, even the Libs will have a difficult time defending this move.
There's so much more to say about this fiasco but there will be plenty of time during the trial(s)....unfortunately, years. I believe these defendants will request separate trials in order to string out the time to spew their abominable jihadist propaganda. Hopefully, the judge will disallow it.
