Maybe Murtha will lose his seat in 2010 but he and others like him can do a lot of damage in one year. There will be a health care plan passed and signed before he leaves. If it's as deadly as we think and it's implemented, it will be virtually impossible to reverse, regardless of the eventual makeup of Congress. It's the old "you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube" analogy. Remember, it'll take a 2/3 vote to reverse it. I don't see that happening again in my lifetime....by either party. In the meantime, the private health care system will be in shambles. I fear we're going to wind up with Socialized medicine, eventually.
