He says AARP is working to clarify the info out there. Those are the same old farts that lobbied against the individual Social Security accounts Bush espoused. The AARP want to keep their members tethered to a government controlled handout, exclusively. It makes it easier to control their investment activities, like buying AARP investment products. Git it? The existing members would most likely be grandfathered into the existing plan. Their position was purely selfish and didn't take into account the problem their progeny would have dealing with a bankrupt SS system.

I left AARP a long time ago. It's a non for profit organization in name only and has become a somewhat leftist lobbying organization.

I wouldn't count on them for a unbiased opinion. Think about it...why would a Dem Congressman tout them? Of course, a Blue Dawg Dem is a slightly different animal but he still has teeth. :>)
