In the future, I suggest you contact them privately by clicking on the top right "about / contact us."

You may want to appeal the demotion as well if you feel the "punishment" was too harsh. I have found their admin people to be very reasonable when dealing with disputes between posters and related matters, when asking them to re-consider.
