Non-violent solution:

1) Term limits for all representatives

2) No lifetime retirement after serving (currently a single term qualifies)

3) No lifetime benefits (medical, dental)

4) Each qualifying candidate from any election receives the same amount of money from tax payer funds to run their campaign.

5) No outside money permitted in elections

6) Absolutely no gifts, perks or anything of value to politicians from outside sources.

7) Nothing added to a bill that is not related to it directly (no pork)

8) No money from Fed. Government to individual states unless it is for National Security. Highways, military bases etc. (let each state take care of what it deems important and let local tax payers pay for it).

This is at least a start.
