I spent a night on an AFB in So. Carolina 1957. Thought I had died & gone to heaven.There were flowers on the table & a tablecloth at breakfast. 2 or 4 guys to a room as I recall. The Navy was a little different. Flew out the next morning on a DC3 to Athens Greece via an overnight at the Azore Islands. Got on the Franklin D. Roosevelt the next nite. Spent 6 months as a plane captain on the flight deck. Basically a flunky. Great name for a Carrier, eh? I think it's the Navy's ship that has had the most UFO & USO sightings. Google it. Franklin D.
