Moving their assets into a new currency? You can bet they're not trying to fix the situation.....IMO, there is no fixing it other than letting the banks fail.

As soon as the banks and the political crumbs turn the tarp funds held in preferred securities into common stock .....or... they get the high interest rate tarp funds removed under the current preferred circumstance while the FDIC is backing their debt holders .....run for the hills.

One way, or the other, it's a bad deal to the tax payer, who should not be there period.
